So. I take 10 minutes to go grab some lunch from Arbys. We’re talking drive-thru people. 10 minutes! I come back to the office and unlock my door to hopefully sit down and eat my lunch. When I open my door, this is what was staring at me!
I screamed really loud, and I’m sure PKP wasn’t too happy to hear it on the other end of a phone call. I quickly hung up my call because I noticed this!
It had rained all day and the guys left a door in the warehouse open when they left for the day. So of course, this random dog crawls up the stairs in the warehouse, walks over to my ceiling and falls through. I’m SO glad I wasn’t in there when this happened or like the guys joked ‘we would have needed protein spotter to clean up her carpet’ hahaha. Just a little carpet cleaning humor there.
So, firehouse subs in NLR has a drink machine with 128 different drinks. It’s a touch screen and believe me, it will blow your mind at the endless possibilities. Raspberry coke? Hell yeah! Orange coke? Why not! I thought this was pretty worthy of a blog post.
****EDIT: The firehouse subs in Bryant has this machine, too.
Last night at 9:30, I went to Baseline Walmart and handed out free 5-hr energy shots to the customers waiting to partake in the 10pm madhouse! This was the best time I’ve had in awhile!
Afterwards, my aunt, my sister, and myself all headed over to Kohl’s to stand in line for the christmas tree my grandmother was wanting. We got there and the line was from Kohl’s all to way to Kirlands!! I walked up to the front of the line to record the mass of people when they opened the doors. People were screaming and cheering and running. Once we got in, the line just sucked you in and literally you had to run to not get ran over. We quickly located the tree and snatched it up about the same time some other woman went in for the tree. Mind you, there were only 3! I put my hand up and told her it was for our grandmother and we ran off with it! The store was an absolute mad house and there had to have been over 100 people in that store at once. Easily!
When we tried leaving, the parking lot looked like we were leaving a football game! People were parked on the grass and in every nook or cranny they could find! Geez, this was intense but I’m still giggling about it. I wanna do it again next year!
P.S. DEAR WALMART AND OTHER BIG CHAINED RETAILERS, CONSUMERS HAVE MORE ENERGY AT MIDNIGHT THAN THEY DO AT 5AM. MAYBE YOU SHOULD TRY GOING BACK TO 5AM OPENINGS TO AVOID THE BRAWLS AND TASERS!
Ran the ‘Reindeer Run for Reading’ 5k last week and beat my PR by 1 minute! We helped raise over $500 dollars that day for Saline County Libraries to help support their imagination program which gives books to preschool kids in preparation for kindergarten. I think by the time they start school, a child in the program will have received over 60 books!
In 2 weeks, I am doing the ‘Light up the Night’ 5k in honor of Jennings Osborne which is fundraising for a variety of charities. Unlike most 5ks, this one will be at night in the river market and I’m pretty excited about it. This one will be chip-timed so it will be official!
I’ve only been running since August, and I’ve got two 5ks under my belt, can run 6 miles without stopping, and have a fabulous ‘coach’ to teach me everything I need to know (and what the internet won’t tell you!).
